30-day pilot

A thirty-day pilot before committing a whole operation

A small scope, measured against the indicators you choose, so you decide on your own data rather than on a presentation.

The link opens your email client with a template for bounding the scope. That is what we build the pilot proposal from.

In summary: the pilot bounds one process for thirty days, with measures agreed in writing before it starts and a review at the end. Scope, cost and terms are set in the formal proposal, not on this page.

Outsourcing a whole process at once requires trusting a presentation. A pilot replaces that trust with data: a part of the process is bounded, how it will be measured is agreed, and after thirty days there are real figures to decide on.

There is a less obvious second benefit. A pilot also measures how we work together, which is the thing no proposal can demonstrate in advance and the thing that most determines whether an outsourcing arrangement still works two years in.

What makes a pilot worth running

A badly framed pilot yields no information and simply consumes a month. These are the conditions that separate a useful one from a decorative one.

  • A bounded, real scope

One enquiry type, one shift or a share of the volume. Small enough to start quickly and representative enough for the results to mean something.

  • Measures agreed before starting

Defined in writing on day one. Choosing the metric at the end, once the results are visible, invalidates the exercise.

  • A baseline to compare against

Your current figures for the same process. Without a starting point, the pilot's result cannot show whether anything improved.

  • System access from day one

The most common reason a pilot loses its first week, and it depends on your side more than ours.

  • A contact person in your company

Someone who can settle judgement calls same-day. A pilot without a counterpart moves at the speed of unanswered email.

  • A decision scheduled for the end

Agreed in advance: continue, widen the scope or stop. A pilot with no decision date becomes a permanent service with no contract.

How it runs

Five phases across a little over a month, including preparation.

  1. 01

    Scope definition

We bound which part of the process is included, which measures will be tracked, and what your current baseline is.

  2. 02

    Preparation

Access, training the team on your product and your judgement calls, and scripts or procedures agreed with you.

  3. 03

    Operation

Thirty days of real service, with weekly review and the ability to adjust the approach as it runs.

  4. 04

    Review

Results against the baseline and against the agreed measures, including what did not go as expected.

  5. 05

    Decision

Continue, widen the scope or stop. If the data does not support it, we will tell you using that same data.

Frequently asked questions

What does the pilot cost?

Cost is set in the formal proposal, calculated against the specific scope agreed, and we do not publish a figure here because it would depend on variables we do not yet know. On /precios you can see the cost structure and the reference data with its sources.

What are the terms?

The terms, the exact duration and what happens at the end are set out in writing in the proposal and confirmed before starting. This page describes how we work; it does not replace the contractual document.

Why thirty days rather than longer?

Because it is long enough to get past the initial learning curve and produce data that means something, and short enough that the decision does not get deferred. For highly seasonal processes another duration may make sense, and we assess that case by case.

What happens to the data if the pilot does not continue?

It is returned or deleted as agreed in the data processing agreement, and the deletion is documented. It is one of the things worth settling before starting rather than at the end.

Is the pilot team the same one that would continue afterwards?

That is the intention, which is why the pilot also lets you assess the people. If scope grows significantly, the team expands around that core.

Can I pilot a process involving sensitive data?

It depends on the data and the country delivering it. That is the first thing we assess, because it determines the delivery model ahead of any cost consideration.
